MY FATHER TO THEE

 Here on the eve of his marvelous birth,

When God came down from above to dwell on earth,

To live among men,

And save them from sin,

We give him our thanks and all of our praise,

For the rest of our lives, and all of our days.

 We’ll never know his pain and his strife,

He suffered in order to give us life.

And save our soul from a perilous plight.

 He came from above us…

To show how he loved us.

Thank God, it was brief,

His Season of Grief…

And to know he still reigns,

In heaven again.

 You made it quite simple to understand

The reason for God’s marvelous plan….

We simply believe all you were here on earth,

So that we could experience a second birth.

 When we die from our natural earthy life,

We’ll be with you forever,

You suffered to give us that right,

If we know your love for us,

And just see the ‘light.’

If we believe in your birth, death, and resurrection,

You have given us in heaven, a true reservation.

You did not die in vain…

And suffer so much pain,

If we live for you,

We will rise again too.

Thank you, dear Jesus,

For this wonderful Season…

For we know who you are,

And you’re truly the Reason!
